	1901 Livery Stable Fire Title 1901 Livery Stable Fire Subject Disasters Fires Description This photo was taken from the second floor of the University Avenue Grammar School. The building slightly to the right of center is the Public Reading Room, near the corner of Main Street and University Avenue. The fire spread up University Avenue, consumed the Episcopal Church, and set fire to the school "half a dozen times, " according to news reports.
