DescriptionNippon Mura, the Japanese villa, was located mid-way between Los Gatos and Saratoga on the highway. Founded by the widow of a sea captain, Nippon Mura was a popular hostelry during the first third of the 20th century. Patrons arrived in horsedrawn vehicles and by the Interurban street car line.
